Contact Political Leaders

It is a fact that the United States Senate has approved special diabetes program funding for Native Americans, increasing funds from $100 to $150 million annually through 2008. (Source: National Indian Health Board http://www.nihb.org/issue_diabetes.htm). Contact your political leaders and ask them if any of this money is being used to fund roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery. Tell them that the surgery has the potential for curing Type 2 Diabetes. Refer them to this web page. Ask them to take action!
